Abby Steiner, a senior at Kentucky, produced the collegiate record in the women's 200 meters in a collegiate record 21.80 seconds and ran a 48.92-second split on the third leg of the 4x400-meter relay that also triumphed in 3:22.55 at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Steiner elevated to the No. 8 competitor in collegiate history and No. 21 all-time in the world in the 200. She also ran on the runner-up 4x100-meter relay that clocked 42.55 seconds and took third in the 100-meter dash final in 11.08 seconds. Steiner was the only athlete in the meet to compete in four finals and contributed 20.5 points for Kentucky, which accumulated 50 points overall to match its third-place finish at the Division 1 indoor championship meet in March in Birmingham, Ala.
