Kentucky senior Masai Russell advanced in the women's 400-meter hurdles and 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. Russell ran 55.74 seconds in the 400 hurdles to finish first in her semifinal heat and 12.76 seconds in the 100 hurdles to finish first in her semifinal heat, becoming the first women in NCAA history to advance to both finals in three consecutive years.
