Keaton Daniel, a senior at Kentucky, won his third consecutive men's pole vault title with an 18-6.50 (5.65m) clearance at the Southeastern Conference Championships at LSU's Bernie Moore Track and Field Stadium in Baton Rouge. Daniel became only the third male athlete in program history to win three straight championships in any event, joining Vic Nelson in the 3-mile race from 1968-71 and Tim Harden in the 100-meter dash from 1994-96. He also became the first to win three in a row in the pole vault since LSU's Russ Buller captured four consecutive crowns from 1997-2000.
