Shawnti Jackson 1st Place Women's 60m and 4x400m Relay - Tyson Invitational 2024
Published by
Shawnti Jackson, a freshman at Arkansas, won the women's collegiate section of the 60-meter dash in 7.23 seconds at the Tyson Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville. Jackson also ran the second leg for the victorious Razorbacks that clocked 3:28.55 in the 4x400-meter relay. Jackson's 50.52-second split is equal to the second-fastest all-time collegiate split on the second leg of the indoor 4x400, along with Arkansas teammate Joanne Reid on last year's 3:21.75 effort that is the fastest indoor performance by a quartet in global history. Jackson's split is also the second-fastest on the second leg by any American female competitor, trailing only Georgia's Aaliyah Butler at 50.21 from Jan. 27 at the Razorback Invitational, and equal to No. 4 all-time in the world on the second leg, along with Reid.
